Up until May 1st of last year, I consumed 3-4 shots of liquor a night to help me fall asleep and stay asleep. Due to some medical things the wife has been going through, we retailored our entire diet around mid-January to emphasize whole foods and minimize added chemicals and preservatives. This, coupled with quitting alcohol every night (I still enjoy bourbon, but with friends!), and continuing to diligently lift weights 3-5x a week, resulted in nearly thirty pounds lost. I'm currently sitting right around 135# - my high school weight at nearly age 40! - and am going to try to stay in the 130s as I focus on building muscle. I may give updates later on this year as I hit other milestones, but I'm feeling good going into 2026!
