my week thus far

A lack of conversation topics for my blog has forced me into the dire predicament of simply sketching out my week. Blah.

Monday. I woke up sick: dizziness, nausea, migraine, sweats and shivers, disorientation. I trudged to class only to dart out the door halfway through to make it to the bathroom just in time to start vomiting. I crawled back into bed and slept till my shift at work. I felt better after my block class, and I spent the evening in the café, visiting with friends.

Tuesday. One of my ex-girlfriends called me, said she was on campus. I went to see her, but she pretty much ignored me the entire time. Weird. My friend Mandy and I went to a little pub in Mount Adams, and then we grabbed dinner at Applebee’s. Good times.

Wednesday. I went home, did laundry, worked on boxing things up for the new house. We move into our new place on May 1, and it involves a surprising amount of packing and moving and throwing things into storage. We were able to land tons of furniture and kitchen equipment from my grandma (including, my favorite, a beautiful coffee maker).

Thursday. Amanda and I went to see Sarah in Reading. Sarah is going to be moving in with us when we get our new place. She’s in an awful predicament right now with a “boyfriend” who is pretty much what we call a “deuschbag”. I won’t go into all the details, because it makes me depressed, but it will be a fresh start for her to move in with us, an opportunity to rebuild her life and kindle anew her relationship with God.

That has been my week. Not as exciting as most weeks, but you can’t win every time. I am not really sure what my plans for the weekend include. I’m pretty sure I am staying on campus tonight, because Mandy and I need to get cracking down on a homework assignment due Tuesday—a handwritten copy of St. Paul’s Epistle to the Romans. Besides, the weather this weekend is supposed to be beautiful, and it would be nice to spend it with friends here in Cincinnati. I do have to go home sometime, though, to get a new front driver’s side tire (it blew yesterday; I got to teach Amanda—again—how to change a tire). Now I am going to go shower, get dressed, and head off to work. I am sure I’ll be taking a nap around 1:00. Very sure of it, actually.
